I am an artist and a marine researcher. My science career and my art are interwoven with the Maine environment and its people. Just as science and art are complementary pieces of the puzzle of life, my work in science and my art are pieces of my personal puzzle and this place is the table on which my life has been built.
I am currently working in acrylic, pencil and ink.
"Nature always wears the colors of the spirit." – Ralph Waldo Emerson. My work in acrylic is primarily focused on Maine, it's landscapes, seascapes and those who live within them. I am particularly inspired by stories of our relationships to the natural world and to each other. My goal is to reveal and evoke the spirit of Maine's nature, landscape and people.
